The sudden, unexpected for everyone and without explanation, the removal of Yodgor Fayzov from the post of chairman of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO) caused an ambiguous reaction in society.
Two days after Fayzov was dismissed from office, the authorities did not explain the reason why he was fired. The decree of the President of Tajikistan dated November 5 does not say anything about this. Although earlier, in similar decrees, the reason for the dismissal of most officials, including those who received “scolding” at government meetings, indicated “transfer to another job.”
